However, it makes a great surprise for other cat lovers. It’s actually very tasty and you will agree once you see the ingredients. Therefore, plan to laugh at everyone’s reaction! Incidentally, I’ve had this recipe for decades but it is on Google as well!
Cat Litter Cake Ingredients:
- Spice cake mix, 1 box, prepared as directed and crumbled
- White cake mix, 1 box, prepared as directed and crumbled
- 1 package vanilla pudding, prepared
- 1/2 cup vanilla cookies, crumbled and tinted green
- 1 package small Tootsie Rolls
- Green food coloring
- Square or rectangular pan
By the way, don’t let this stuff fool you. It is actually delicious. However, you will be thinking to yourself, “What am I doing eating cat litter!!!” OMG, it clumps so well. Actually, it doesn’t; the pudding holds it together. You will never know the difference. Hopefully, you will! In the meantime, just have fun with this! Moreover, it is an interesting cake.
Instructions for Cat Litter Cake!
Mix first three ingredients and fold in the green cookie crumbs. (Those crumbs resemble chlorophyll. Manufacturers often add chlorophyll to litter to help control odor.) Pat your mixture into a pan that looks like a litter box. Place Tootsie Rolls as desired to provide a “used effect!” Serve with a large scoop.
WARNING: In the meantime, do not talk about this cake, much less prepare it for anyone who does not have a great sense of humor and a love of cats! Incidentally, I worked for Veterinarians for about fifteen years. During that time, I often got scheduled to work with a wonderful relief vet. I don’t know if he’d ever seen one of these cakes or not. However, he didn’t want to hear about it! He was one of the most “fun” people I ever met. Therefore, I made one for his birthday!
