American Heritage Girls

American Heritage Girls – “is a Christ-centered character and leadership development program for girls 5 to 18 years of age. AHG is dedicated to building women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country.”

Do you ever worry about how your daughters are growing up? We know the world has a tremendous influence on girls. We want them to be exposed to the best people possible; those who will be fine examples of strength and integrity. Incidentally, the girls have tons of fun while learning how to lead and serve. American Heritage Girls – About

American Heritage Girls

Incidentally, AHG was started in 1995 by a group of parents in Cincinnati, Ohio. They wanted more for their daughters than what other scouting organizations were offering. They were concerned about the influence that our changing culture was having on those groups. The aim is to raise young women who understand who they are in God’s eyes.

Today, American Heritage Girls has over 50,000 members andTroops exist in all fifty states, aa well as fifteen countries. Thousands of volunteers help the girls develop life skills, leadership abilities and character. The girls discover what interests and talents they possess as they progress through the different levels. In case you are wondering, American Heritage Girls is open only to Biological girls.

American Heritage Girls – Where

Incidentally, some girls are members of military families or missionary families. Consequently, they are not near a Troop. Therefore, there is a program called Trailblazers and it’s just for them. Girls work with a mentor to fulfill their goals. The mentor can be a parent, teacher, pastor, or guardian. By the way, sisters can do the program together as long as they have an approved mentor.

By the way, I heard an interview with the current president on the radio last week. Moreover, I was so impressed with the program that I knew I had to get this information onto my website! Consequently, here it is. So, I pray that someone finds this and that it helps you teach your daughter some old-fashioned Bible-based values that we need so badly these days. However, girls who go through this program will have an edge on life and know how to cope. Incidentally, I grew up with no coping skills or any idea of my intrinsic value as a child of God. I wouldn’t wish that condition on anybody. Therefore, I had to write this page and share it with you. If it helps even one girl, I’ll be happy.

AHG CREED

As an American Heritage Girl, I promise to be compassionate, helpful, honest, loyal, perseverant, pure, resourceful, respectful, responsible, and reverent.”

That creed is beautiful and it’s exactly how we want more young people to be. Young women with those beliefs could be such an asset to this country. Our future depends a lot on those values. By the way, this program has been so popular, that a similar program is now available for boys. It is called Trail Life USA. Therefore, I’ve included the link and will probably write a page on it soon.

AHG Program Levels
